Product · Logistics
Cash on delivery is an accounting problem wearing a logistics costume.
The parcels are the easy part. What hurts is the money: collected at a door, sitting in a driver's pocket, counted at a branch, deposited at a bank, and finally paid out to a merchant who has been calling about it since Tuesday.

What it is
A platform for a delivery operator running its own vehicles: merchant dispatch, driver trips and attempts, hub sorting and sealed bags, linehaul between branches, cash settlement, and merchant payouts. Three interfaces over one ledger — merchant, driver, operations — with the money and the address book as the two spines of the product.

- 77
- parcels across the full lifecycle
These describe the product and its seeded demonstration world. They are not a client's operating figures.
Who it is built for
Three roles that disagree with each other daily, which is exactly why they need the same record.
Every screen on these pages is redrawn in the browser from the product itself. None of it is a captured image.
The merchant
Pushes the day's orders, watches attempts and refusals, sees what is owed and when the payout run lands, and disputes a weight without a phone call.

Open settlement
Three decisions that shaped it
- 01
Cash is a tracked object
Collected at the door, in the driver's hand, counted at the branch, deposited at the bank, transferred to the merchant. Five states on one screen, with variance attributed to a person and a moment.

The address book compounds
Addresses described by landmarks rather than numbers become pins: the customer confirms on WhatsApp or the driver corrects at the door, and the result is stored against the phone number and reused by every merchant on the network.

Dates, not clocks
This is next-day and D+2 parcel logistics with hub sorting and overnight linehaul. Promising an hourly window would have made the product look fast and be wrong.
How it is built
- A deterministic seed covering the full lifecycle, including the failures: a misrouted scan, an aged parcel, a bag reconciled with a shortage.
- Scanning, signature capture, GPS and printing are simulated and clearly labelled as simulated.
- Arabic first with right-to-left throughout, complete English, Latin numerals, and money rendered through one formatter.
- Every control mutates the shared store — nothing is a static screenshot of a state.
